Before she could slide the black blindfold down Jae Joong gently stopped her hand and moved it away giving a kiss on it, “It’s a surprise. I promised you something special for Christmas.. aegi yah can you just wait … for me?”
Blushing she tried to pull her hand away, “Don’t call me aegi yah.. you know I don’t like that!” she mumbles, “I’m your noona remember..”
With a laugh and smile, Jae Joong took her into his arms, “ But for tonight.. can you be my aegi yah… Let me take care of you.. ne? ”
“…” Chloe unable to think of a rebuttal nodded and sank into the warmth of his arms, “When can I take my blindfold off Jae Joongie..”
“ah we’re here.” Jae Joong said as he led Chloe to the door and led her down finally un blindfolding her, “How does Christmas eve in Japan sound?”
“Eh?” Chloe said as she rubbed her eyes and put on her glasses, “OMO… What? Jae Joongie, are you kidding me?”
With a smile he walked to Chloe, fixing her scarf and put on some mittens on her hand, “iie, nippon he no kangei, kuroii chan”
“You are always full of unexpected things Jae Joongie..” Chloe said as she blushed and poked him in his side.
“hahah But isn’t that why you fell for me in the first place?” Jae Joong said as he took her hand and started running, “I’m starving. let’s go get some ramen!!”
“But… aren’t we going to take a car? Aren’t you afraid we’re going to get mauled by your fans??”
“Today.. I’m just Kim Jae Joong on a date with my beautiful girlfriend.” Jae Joong said as he continued to run, holding Chloe’s hand, but stopped and looked at her pouting, “Unless you would rather get driven around in a big fancy car and go to a fancy restaurant.. we can do that too.”
Cupping his face she smiled and planted a kiss on his lips, “I would want nothing more than to be with you. Nothing else matters.”
“When I’m with you.. I don’t need money or fancy cars.. I just need you…”
As the two looked deep into one another’s eyes, both began to fall for each other more so than before, reminiscing about the last 5 years they’ve been together.
“I love you Chloe ah..” Jae Joong said as he slowly leaned towards her.
Nervously, Chloe turned away red and coughed, “Umm… Jae Joongie.. I’m hungry now… let’s go get some ramen at a street stall and umm some takoyaki too.”
“Great minds think alike.” He wrapped his arm around Chloe and smiled, “Let’s go.”
As the two walked down the streets looking at the lights and many people on the streets, they laugh and play around just like a normal couple. Something they haven’t been able to do as of late because of Jae Joong’s busy schedule. Chloe knew him being here with her was going to wear him out since the next few weeks were to be busy for him. But seeing his smile and just being with him like this, she couldn’t help but be thankful for having him with her.
“Chloe ah.. look…” Jae Joong said as he held her hand and pointed towards the sky.
“Yehey it’s snowing” Chloe said as she held out her hand to catch the falling snowflakes in her hand, “hehehe.”
Jae Joong smiled watching how Chloe’s face seemed to just brighten the night, at that moment, he felt that if he lost everything he possessed.. he wouldn’t care because she was with him.
“Jae Joongie..” Chloe said as she turned to him, “Is something wrong?”
Jae Joong smiled and shook his head, “Nothing.. when I’m with you.. everything is perfect…”
At that moment, even though people and cars were passing by in a whirl, to them, they were the only two on the street, nothing else mattered.
“Come on Chloe ah,” Jae Joong said as he took her hand and changed subjects seeing how embarrassed the two had become, “You must be hungry lets go eat.”
The two continued to walk til they reached the ramen stall that they first met at.
“Ah Jejung kun, Kuroii chan.. long time no see.” The owner said as he greeted them and started preparing bowls, “Two specials extra meat and noodles for Jejung and for Kuroii extra broth coming right up!”
The two smiled and sat down holding hands underneath the counter. The owner quickly place two piping hot bowls in front of the couple.
“Haha and this time no fighting over who will pay, it’s on the house tonight.” Saying this he quickly took away all the spicy seasonings, “and no trying to kill each other ok? Hahaha”
After their meal the two continued walking and talking, “Jae Joongie.. this has been a wonderful night but couldn’t we have done this in Seoul?” Chloe asked as she took a bite of her crepe and then held it up to Jae Joong.
“We could have but.. it wouldn’t be the same” Jae Joong said and then bit the crepe.
“Why wouldn’t it have been the same?”
Jae Joong just continued to chew and smile pointing towards the large display screen. Chloe looked up to the screen just as music began to play and images of couples started to show.
“Wahh.. how sweet.” Chloe said as turned to Jae Joong, only to see an empty spot beside her, “Jae Joongie?”
As she looked around for him, she started to notice that the people around her were looking at her and then look back to the screen.
“What the…” when she looked back up to the screen tears began to fall, pictures of her and Jae Joong began to appear on the screen. Pictures of them when they first met, candids, pictures of them together. Chloe did not know what to say or do and then she finally realized where she was… Shibuya station. Just as she was about to pull out her phone to call him, she heard a guitar and violin and saw those who were looking at her before light candles encircling her in light.

“Jae Joongie!!!” Chloe called out blushing, not believing he would do such a thing. As pictures of them continued to display on the screen, a small child walked towards Chloe from the crowd holding a lily.
“Nee chan…for you..” the little girl said softly as she handed her the lily.
Chloe knelt down and accepted the lily with a smile, “Arigatou ne”
The little girl bowed and then gave Chloe a kiss on the cheek before. back into the crowd.

Chloe began to cry uncontrollably while smiling thinking of how much Jae Joong had to have prepared for this moment. How much he loved her.
“With you..” Jae Joong gently touched her cheek whipping away her tears.
“Jae Joongie…” Chloe said as she smiled.
But before she could finish his lips touched hers and everything she wanted to say vanished and all she could feel was the love he had for her and love she had for him. The crowd began to sing the song as the two shared their sweet kiss.
“Chloe ah.. Look at the time.. it’s Christmas.”
“Is it?”
Jae Joong handed her the lily in his hand and kissed her cheek, “Merry Christmas..”
“Thank you Jae Joongie.. umm Jae Joongie.. what are you..” Chloe whispered as she watched Jae Joong kneel down looking up at her smiling.
“Jae Joongie… I don’t understand..” Just as she was questioning his action, a small shine came from the lily he had handed her.
She looked closely and in the center of the flower was a single diamond ring, “Jae Joongie..”
He turned to the screen with tears in his eyes making Chloe do the same. It was a video of Jae Joong.
Chloe ah.. I know this makes me a coward but I really don’t know if I could be a man and say this to you without breaking down in tears. Probably right now, I’m crying next to you aren’t I? haha.. but I really love you… with all my heart. I can’t picture my life without you. You are my heart, soul.. my melody. I told you one day I would take you to Shibuya where I first bumped into you and fell head over heels for you and kiss you. Well after all we’ve been through.. tonight I was finally able to keep my promise. And I can say that every day you make me fall in love with you more..
Chloe in tears turned to Jae Joong, who looked at her with a gentle yet anxious expression.

The screen faded black and then turned into a live stream of where they were standing. The area seemed to go into a standstill as the entire area fell silent waiting for her reply only to be broken by people in their cars honking and cheering on Chloe to say yes that caused those on the streets to do the same.
“Chloe ah..” Jae Joong said as he took her hand, “No matter the answer, I am only complete when I’m with you.. and that will never change.”
“Ne..” Chloe said quietly.
“Huh?”
“Yes Jae Joongie.. I’ll marry you.” Chloe said nodding fast whipping her tears, “yes I’ll marry you.”
“Really?!?!” Jae Joong said as he jumped up, “You will?? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
With that everyone burst out into cheers as Jae Joong took Chloe in her arms and swung her around and kissed her.
“Jae Joong!!!” Chloe said hitting him in the arm, “Stop it… its embarrassing.”
Jae Joong quickly stopped and smiled, “Ow.. sorry .. I just got too excited.”
“umm.. well ..” Chloe said shyly as she held the ring in front of Jae Joong, “Do I have to wear it myself?”
Smiling Jae Joong took the ring and slid it on her hand, “Perfect match..”
As the crowd continued to cheer the couple embraced as the snow began to fall again.
“You know.. all of your fans are going to hate me now Jae Joongie..”
“Are you mad Chloe ah? I’m…”
Before he could say anything, Chloe kissed him and smiled, “As long as I’m with you… it won’t matter.”
Jae Joong smiled and touched his forehead to hers, “As long as we’re together.. nothing else in the world matters..”
